Switching

Switching practice software:
a checklist.

What to confirm before, during and after the move.

01

What should a practice do before switching practice management software?

  • List every system the practice pays for and what each one does, including booking, reminders, the patient app, scribe, claiming and reporting.
  • Record the integrations you rely on: pathology and imaging results, claiming channels, prescribing and messaging.
  • Agree what an evaluation must demonstrate before you commit.
02

What data should come across, and how do you know it did?

Agree the scope of the migration in writing: which patients, appointments, clinical history, documents and billing records move, and from which date. Then check a reconciliation of counts and samples before you rely on the new system.

03

What should a practice test before go-live?

  • A full day at the front desk: bookings, arrivals, payments and receipts.
  • A consultation from intake to signed note, billing and follow-up.
  • Every claiming channel the practice uses, end to end.
  • Recalls and reminders, including who confirms them.
  • Roles, access and the audit trail.

How does switching to Echo One work?

Start with your practice, the features you want and the people helping with the move. Echo One Transition provides a setup guide and a sample-data rehearsal. Data comes across from the practice management systems most Australian general practices run today, with a reconciliation you can check; specialist and allied health systems are coming soon. Launch scope and the migration plan are confirmed with each practice before it plans a change.

What does it cost to switch?

Echo One is priced on clinical sessions and quoted from the practice’s roster. Add up what your current software costs with the stack calculator.
