01

Before you choose.

The website does not load Google Analytics until you select Allow analytics. Your browser stores the accepted or declined choice locally under echo-analytics-choice. Blocking browser storage may mean you are asked again.

Whether or not you allow Google Analytics, Echo records cookie-free page views and fixed interactions such as broad scroll depth, calls to action, registration stages, downloads and video milestones. It sends the event name, the page path without a query string and, for a film, its code-owned identifier, title and playback milestone. A random browser-tab session reference in session storage supports ordered journeys and unique-session funnels and resets after 30 minutes without activity. Echo immediately converts it to a tenant-keyed, Sydney-day-scoped token and does not store the browser reference. The browser sends only a closed referring-source category, not the referring URL or hostname. Form contents, chat text, link text and search terms are not sent.

02

If you allow analytics.

Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits, broad scroll depth, calls to action, PDF downloads, video starts and progress, and completed registration requests. The custom events do not include your form contents, link text or search terms. Page and link measurement omit query parameters and use known website paths. Advertising signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in the site's configuration.

03

Change your choice.

Use the Analytics settings button on any page. Choosing No thanks stops future analytics loading and attempts to clear the site's Google Analytics cookies before reloading. This cannot erase information already processed by Google.

04

Different kinds of data.

Local and session storage are different from analytics cookies. For Echo's cookie-free operational measurement, the receiving service converts the request's source address and the separate browser-tab session reference into tenant-keyed tokens scoped to each Sydney calendar day. Echo stores those tokens for 35 days; the analytics record does not store the source address, user-agent string or raw browser reference. A network group may contain several people, while an observed session is one browser tab's activity window; neither is treated as a person. CloudFront edge logs also cover requests that do not run JavaScript. They exclude cookies, query strings and referrers, remain in a private encrypted AWS bucket for 14 days and are imported only as aggregate counts and daily network groups.
