In-hospital claiming

ECLIPSE claiming
for specialists.

In-hospital claims lodged from the same record as the consent and the theatre list.

01

What is ECLIPSE?

ECLIPSE is the Services Australia channel for lodging in-hospital claims electronically to Medicare and private health funds, and for receiving the payment and remittance information back.

02

Does Echo One support ECLIPSE claiming?

Yes. In-hospital claims go through ECLIPSE via eHealthwise, and remittances are reconciled back into the ledger, so what was claimed and what was paid sit side by side.

03

How do gap arrangements and informed financial consent fit in?

Gap and fund details are captured when the practice quotes the gap. The quote is sent for informed financial consent by secure link, and the answer shows on the theatre list beside the case.

04

Does Echo One lodge out-of-hospital Medicare claims directly?

Not yet. Medicare claims are prepared in Echo One and lodged through the Services Australia portal until direct lodgement is switched on.

05

Who is ECLIPSE claiming in Echo One for?

Specialist rooms and practices that bill in-hospital services. See the specialist rooms page for referral triage, clinical photography and theatre lists. Echo One is a product preview with a waiting list; availability is confirmed at launch.
